Drinking & Smoking
The legal drinking
age in British Columbia is 19 years. Alcohol is sold at
government liquor stores as well as Beer and Wine stores.
Drinking is not permitted in public places. Nightclubs are open
until 2am and bars and pubs are open until 1am.
Smoking is
prohibited in all public buildings and 5 meters from any
doorways. Cigarettes can be purchased from grocery stores and
convenience stores.
