There is
something very special about the
mountains; hiking, alpine
rock-climbing or mountaineering
on wild glaciers to a snow and
ice covered peak.
The many perspectives the high
alpine has to offer, the always
changing terrain which gives us
the most incredible playground,
an outstanding summit reaching
high into the sky in the middle
of a "sea of peaks" or wandering
along a nature trail in the high
alpine forests.
Still there is much more to it.
It is the way we absorb the
mountains, where each day is
better than the last.
It's the way we find our freedom
and for that short time we have
a hard time believing that there
is also another life -
somewhere.
Both
Mount Revelstoke
&
Glacier
National Parks offer a huge
variety of hiking and climbing
options, including the "Meadows
in the Sky Parkway"
in Mount Revelstoke National
Park. Check out information on
other specific areas there as
well.
Imagine being whisked away by
helicopter to a high alpine
summit to spend the day hiking
or climbing in incredible,
unspoiled mountain wilderness.
Revelstoke has several companies
providing these types of
services.
