Canadian Currency:
Canadian currency has similar currency denominations as American currency.

Coins come in:
   1 cent (penny)
   5 cent (nickel)
   10 cent (dime)
   25 cent (quarter)
   1 dollar (loonie)
   2 dollar (toonie)

Bills come in $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. Canadian dollar bills are all coloured. There are no $1 or $2 dollar bills.

All major credit cards are accepted throughout Revelstoke, if you are unsure, check with the vendor.

Tipping is standard practice throughout Canada. The standard minimum is 15%. Tips are given to anyone providing you with a service such as bartenders and servers, hairdressers, taxi drivers, hotel attendants and bellhops, and spa therapists.
