Revelstoke Snowmobiling: Theft Prevention

Come play with us - but be sure to protect your Investments!

Smart Riders:

  • Always check avalanche conditions

  • Never ride alone

  • Carry safety and avalanche gear (and know how to use it!)

  • Don't snowmobile under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Let someone know when you're leaving and expect to return

  • Respect wildlife - be aware of closure areas

  • Help others when they need it

  • PLAN, PREPARE, PLAY!!!

1. Park your vehicles in a well lit area.
Thieves don't like to be spotted so park in an
area with good visibility and lots of pedestrian traffic.

2. Mark your sleds with an identification number.
Engrave your driver's license in a conspicuous place.

3. Disable your total vehicle at night!
Remove a battery terminal, coil, distributor cap, etc.

4. Invest in anti-theft devices.
These are available for both your tow vehicle
and your snowmobile.

5. Record all identifying info on your equipment.
This includes your sleds, truck and trailer. Keep this information separate from your machines.

6. Securely lock all of the equipment!
Lock your trailer to your tow vehicle.
